We are a training practice and committed to both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Occasionally, medical students spend time at the surgery to gain practical knowledge. If you do not wish to see a student please inform the receptionists.
Part of their training requires them to observe patient consultations with a GP and you may be asked if you are happy to have a trainee in the consultation room if you visit the doctor.
GP registrars are fully qualified doctors who are training to pursue a career in general practice. They hold daily clinics at the surgery and are supervised/mentored by a GP trainer.
If you do not wish to agree to a trainee observe your consultation please inform the doctor at the time.
