Tadworth Medical Centre continues to be open and safe and our staff are already putting plans in place to be able to safely administer the flu vaccine for patients. This may be done differently to how it has been done in the past.
As soon as details are confirmed, Tadworth Medical Centre will use our practice website and text messaging service to inform patients how to get the flu vaccine. Patients should only contact the practice for details regarding the flu vaccination if unable to access details online.
The number of people eligible to receive the flu vaccine on the NHS this year has increased, and it is important that eligible patients get the flu vaccination. This is particularly important for those in at risk groups because flu can cause severe complications. Vaccination for the over 65’s has already begun and appointments are available to book by telephoning the surgery. The under 65 ‘at risk’ vaccinations will begin at the beginning of October and patients who fall in to that category will be contacted by text and advised to make an appointment.
Please ensure the surgery has your up to date contact details include mobile number (if you have one). You can do this online by completing our Change of Personal Details form on our website.
